Research Advisors & Experts Europe (RAEE) was founded in 2003. It was created to ensure that justice, equality and accountability are always key cornerstones in the pursuit of international relations. Emphasis is given to Europe’s role towards the rest of the world recognizing the core principles enshrined in the EU’s Treaties to promote democratic governance and accountability, adhere to the rule of law including human rights obligations, and enable societies and their people to live in dignity free from discrimination of any kind.

RAEE has advised international, governmental, non-governmental and private sector organizations on issues of development, justice and human rights, peace and conflict. These issues include health, education, child labour and forced labour, human rights, gender equality and peace-building.

Our Vision

To ensure that justice, equality and accountability are always key cornerstones in the pursuit of international relations.

Our Mission

To encourage the European Union’s involvement in human rights in general and, in particular, in the Horn of Africa and North Africa.

Background

Founded in 2003 as Brussels-based Centre of expertise on the EU’s external policies. We work on a wide variety of subjects relating to the EU’s external policies, including legal frameworks, the annual budget and programming.

Our works on specific policy areas such as migration, human trafficking, children’s rights, and gender equality. RAEE conducts advocacy, does research and analysis, organizes conferences and works on information dissemination, curriculum development and content management.

We are motivated by the goal of promoting a socially responsible European Union, both internally and externally, based on the values of solidarity and equality and with a strong focus on global poverty eradication.
